Here's what Sally Barton has to say about herself in words she wrote especially for us here at Buy Comic Art:
I've worked as an illustrator and storyboard artist for over 15 years and, while I've adapted to - and frequently use - digital media, I'll always prefer to draw and paint directly onto paper or canvas; watercolour and inks are my favourite media, and if Photoshop can be used to tidy up a few mistakes then that's fine. I don't consider myself a 'cartoonist' but have often used cartoon styles to meet a variety of briefs, particularly illustrations for children, and enjoy the opportunity for humour that a cartoon style can bring to an image. Generally I love figurative illustration; receiving a brief to paint a view of a golf course was probably my least favourite commission!

Above we can see an example of Sally inclining towards a cartoony style, something that would have sat well with Buy Comic Art in its earliest form, but we've given up now! We don't want to put artists into little boxes where they have to sit and behave themselves. If it's good art, we'll show it here on Buy Comic Art. And if I did it (Joe Cheetham-Wilkinson), we'll even show it if it's terrible!
